The 2005 Tripoli MN BALLS project was a complete success. With an altitude of 21,094 ft and a top speed of mach 1.02 with full recovery. The rocket is 18'8" tall 12" in diameter and had a lift off weight of 180lbs. It was powered by Richard Hagensick's P2700. The other team members are Brian Elfert Tom Tweit and Dave Leininger. Hats off to the entire team especially Rich for providing such a great motor. We can all hardly wait for next years project
Low power or model rockets are generally powered by black powder motors.  They can be built using many different things.  Some use pringles cans or plastic pop bottles.
